On November 20, 2020, Dutch Heritage World Tours gave a presentation for APG Asset Management, for its employees in New York and the Netherlands. Normally, APG employees meet in person once a year – in New York or in the Netherlands – and end their meeting days with a fun event on the last afternoon. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, the meeting was held online that year, and Dutch Heritage World Tours was asked to provide the closing afternoon.
We gave a presentation about our audio tour “How Dutch Is New York? – The New Amsterdam Tour”. We also talked about Dutch-American heritage in the Hudson Valley, such as the Old Dutch Church and the Philipsburg Manor in Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow, both built around the 1700s by the Dutch settler Frederick Philipse.
