On this website we give information about heritage in our own country, but especially about Dutch and Flemish heritage beyond our borders. For centuries, the Dutch have been a seafaring people who love to travel and who have left material and immaterial traces in many places in the world. Material heritage includes houses, fortifications, farms, mills, churches and cemeteries. Immaterial heritage includes Dutch loanwords in another language or certain customs that have become part of another culture.
We are happy to tell you about all this and we do this mainly by means of audio tours around this shared cultural-historical heritage. We publish our audio tours in the app and on the izi.TRAVEL website.
