On June 17, 2021 we gave a webinar about the first audio tour we ever made for one of our sponsors, the Society of Daughters of Holland Dames. This audio tour about Dutch heritage abroad is titled “How Dutch Is New York? – The New Amsterdam Tour”. It takes you through the streets of Lower Manhattan, where many names still remind us of seventeenth-century New Amsterdam, the origin of the city of New York. During this webinar, we told the ‘Daughters’ – an illustrious company of women from across the United States who are provably descended from Dutch settlers – how we came up with the idea of this and other audio tours in New York. Of course, we also showed a lot of the footage that we included in our audio tour.
